- History / Biographical
- Marion Bernice Harland was born in St. Thomas on May 20th, 1914. Her parents were Henry Harland and Rosina (nee Housley). She graduated from the St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in 1936. She worked at the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital as a Nurse in 1939, before it closed down to become the Technical Training School at the outbreak of the Second World War. She married John Robert McCorkell on December 13, 1941. She died in Windsor on October 25, 1989 and is buried in the St. Thomas Cemetery.
