- History / Biographical
- The A.R. Wright Hardware Store was established in Port Burwell on May 4, 1891 by A.R. Wright. The store burned down in 1899 and a new store was built across the street from the original location. His son, Allan Newell Wright, became an associate in 1913 and assumed full control of the store in 1932, after the death of his father. The store was sold to Louis Toth of Lakeview in April 1962.
