Caption from St. Thomas Times-Journal, May 5, 1951, page one: “Veteran Railroaders Honored at Banquet.” 1_2000: “Hundreds of years of railroading service were represented, Friday evening, at the seventh annual presentation banquet to retired employees of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway, held in the Grand Central Hotel. A group of nearly 100 veterans who attended the function are shown above with leading members of the committee in charge. Seated, left to right: Ollie Rushton, St. Thomas, retired boiler inspector; Ex-Mayor Jack Handford, chairman and master of ceremonies; Allan Quick, C. & O. agent and general chairman of the committee that arranged the banquet; Colonel D. Feeley, Windsor, retired baggageman; John C. King, St. Thomas, retired shopman, the second oldest pensioner at the gathering. Standing, left to right: Dan Ross, Niagara Falls, Ont., retired agent; James Alexander, shop foreman and in charge of the retirement presentations; F.J.
