2_393: "Key men from the Hamilton plant of Canada Iron Foundies were welcomed to the annual Safety First Banquet of the St. Thomas plant, in the Grand Central Hotel, thursday evening. Left to right, W.A. Hastings, veteran foundry superintendent, Hamilton; H.G. McLean, assistant superintendent of the St. Thomas plant; C.O. (Ike) Flowers, superintendent of the Hamilton plant and formerly on the St. Thomas staff; Charles C. Cutter, yard forman of the St. Thomas plant and chairman of the 1948 safety committee; and Fred Wise, general foreman of the St. Thomas plant and chairman of the 1949 safety committee."
