- A photograph showing an exterior view of 66 Manitoba Street in St. Thomas, Ontario (Lot 39, Block K, Plan 51). The individual standing in front of the home is likely Samuel James. On the reverse of the photograph, the following is handwritten in ink:
"Samuel James (a painter in 1878. Retired Railroader in 1931). Purchased Lot September 1878 ($450). Probably built house 1879. Samuel James died June 9, 1931, son Sidney Thomas James (Railroad Dispatcher), daughters Ada Mary James and Mabel Margaret Neal (Wife of Robert F. Neal). House was transferred to Mabel M. Neal in 1931. House was transferred to Fred S. and Leta Coombes ($1700) April 15, 1942. House was transferred to Wilfred L. Allen and Audrey Allen (nee Coombes) April 5, 1973."
