- Photographs of William "Bill" Salter and John Salter, Edward O'Keefe, and Percy Hankinson, all railway officials. Caption from the St. Thomas Times Journal: “Former N.Y.C. Superintendent Here Is Honored.” 1_3997: “A happy quartette at the presentation dinner to William B. Salter, assistant general manager of the Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railway, and former superintendent of the New York Central’s Canada division here, held in the Grand Central Hotel, Saturday evening. Left to right: John E. Salter, New York City, assistant manager of public relations, New York Central System; Edward O’Keefe, the new superintendent of the Canada Division, Michigan Central Railroad (New York Central System), who was chairman and toastmaster, Saturday evening; W. B. Salter, the guest of honor; and Percy Hankinson, assistant superintendent and trainmaster, Canada Division, Michigan Central Railroad (New York Central System), general chairman of the committee that arranged the function. Mr. Hankinson presented Mr. Salter with a purse of $400 from his many railroading friends in St. Thomas and district. (See report on page eight.)”
