Williams, Richmond, Virginia, Supervisor of Recreation, Speaks at First Function Under New Set-Up; Charles (Chunk) Smale Complimented on Work as President." 1_1005: "Smale Smiles at Smale at C. & O. Gathering: It was a case of Smale smiling at Smale, Thursday evening, at the very successful Family Night held in the Colonel Talbot Room of the Grand Central Hotel under the auspices of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Athletic Association, with more than 200 persons in attendance. From left to right in the above picture are J. A. Kirkpatrick, chairman of the committee in charge of the function; E. W. Woodruff, divisional master mechanic, St. Thomas; Mayor J. B. Caldwell; Charles Smale, superintendent of the Canadian Division of the C. & O.
