- History / Biographical
- The original building at this location officially opened in 1880 as Blackmore Hardware Store. Throughout the years, it was referred to as the "Big Store on the corner" and operated as a hardware store until circa early 1960s, when it was torn down to build a new store for the IGA grocery store. In the late 1980s, the Grand Central Apartment Complex replaced the grocery store.
