- Scope and Content
- One black-and-white negative photograph featuring excavation of the future location for Agric Services Ltd., on November 20, 1980.
- R13 S3 Sh6 B3 233 was published in the Rodney Mercury on November 20, 1980, with the caption: "Rodney's new industry, Agric Services Ltd., had the excavation dug for its 50 by 100 metal-clad manufacturing building the first of the week at the old dump at the north corner of the village. Spence Construction made the 70 by 120 excavation six feet deep to remove the old rubbish which had been covered with two feet of clay and sand when the area was levelled. One of the owners, Bill Roest of Blenheim, is at right inspecting the excavation. He plans to move to Rodney as soon as he finds a house. His other partners, Pres. Dave Fletcher, has lived in the village the past few years, and John Moore moved here last summer. The company manufactures grain elevator equipment. The owners planned to have their new building erected in the summer, but were too busy fulfilling contracts. Now they hope to have it erected and finsihed in January, ready to take care of next year's contracts."
