- File contains records collected by Alison Pearce during her genealogical research project which informed the publication "The Pearces of Little Ireland". Includes genealogical records, photocopies and internet print-outs of reference material related to Stephen Backus and family. Also contains photographic prints of the Backus residence and family members (item-level description availabe). File includes the following original documents:
-Marriage Certificate between Bamlet Esdras Sifton and Catherine Elizabeth Backus, dated June 14, 1888 in Tyrconnell. Signed by witnesses Joseph Pearce and Jane R. Taylor.
-Correspondence, dated June 3, 1921, written by John Backus to his cousin regarding family history. Includes a family chart.
-Genealogical family charts showing ancestors of Anna Frances Backus Dockter, Robert Backus, Joseph Backus and Johannah (Cleveland) Backus.
-Correspondence sent from Lydia and Leslie Patterson to Joseph Backus in Erie County, Pennsylvania, circa 1807.
-Notebook, possibly belonging to and created by Anna Frances Dockter (nee Backus), containing genealogical notes on the Backus family.
