- Eva Cosens (nee Thompson) was born in Harrow, Ontario to the late Lennox and Silina Thompson. She was a long-term resident of West Lorne, Ontario with her husband, Sydney Cosens, and was known locally for writing articles on community and historical affairs. She often signed her articles with the initials "ETC". She died on May 29th, 1968 in St. Thomas and is buriend at the Colchester Cemetery in Harrow, Ontario.

- File includes two letters addressed to George Dingman, Editor of the St. Thomas Times-Journal. The first letter discusses her submission of a photograph of her great-grandmother, who was born in Ireland in 1790, and emigrated to Canada, south of St. Thomas, Ontario. The second letter includes histories of three main factories in West Lorne, including Erie Flooring and Wood Products Ltd., Milner-Rigsby Company Ltd., and the Conklin Lumber Company Ltd..
