- History / Biographical
- Notes from Harley Lashbook: "In 1951, due to the generous donation of $7000 from twin brothers Duncan L. and Archie D. McMillan, the present lovely library was built. The property was acquired free from the Odd Fellows' Lodge, with Harold Easton of Detroit, drawing plans and presenting them to the village without charge. Situated on the S.B. Morris lawn, just north of his private bank and home, the building is a nice addition to the village and main thoroughfare".
