- Scope and Content
- Rodney from the air, looking northeast. The photo was taken from the south of the village. The Canada Wood Products Company buildings are on the lower-left of the photograph, and the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway tracks run along the lower bottom of the photograph. The easily distinguishable race track is pictured at the top. Other landmarks such as Coles and Orford farmers' Co-op elevators are in the immediate foreground. The tracks to the north belong to the New York Central Railway/ Michigan Central Railway. The passenger stations for the two lines are to the right of Furnival Road, which runs north from the lower right corner. The fair grounds are at the top including the agricultural hall which was later lost in a fire. A beautiful view of neighbouring tobacco farms can be seen at the top of the photo.
