- A general note written by Harley Lashbrook explained: "On Monday, November 1st, the Agricultural Hall burned to the ground. The fire was first noticed at the east end of the building and spread rapidly, within ten minutes the whole building was on fire, tenders for the demolition had been called with a price of $3,800 for the removal of building, floor and foundation".
