- Black and white negative photographs, featuring the Great Lakes Paint and Varnish Supply Store, from 1950 to 1952.
- Captioned: "Pidgeon and Sons power shovel is seen here digging the trench for the foundation of the Great Lakes Paint and Varnish Company, which has located in Rodney. The digging was started one week ago Thursday. The plant is situated at the southern limits of Rodney on Highway 77 and Back Street." Published by the Rodney Mercury on June 29th, 1950. (W11 B4 154b)

- Captioned: "Executives of Great Lakes Paint and Varnish Company display the first paint made in the new factory. The first run of paint was made March 10th, Michigan Outside White. Standing left to right are: William Curtis, president and secretary-treasurer, points at the first fallon and five gallon pails prduced; George Lettener, centre, has since withdrawn from the business; Charles Srofe, left, vice-president and general manager.
