- One black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published July 14, 1976, with caption:
- "Dance to disco music - A three-colored dance floor is featured at the Chessy Cat, which has now swung over to disco music full-time. The various-colored lights are turned on by the beat of the music. Here Melanie Delorma, the disc jockey, and Frank Gibb, of Total Phase Productions, who designed the set and produces the show, try out the dance floor." (38a)
- One black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published January 26, 1978, with caption:
- "Aimed at new crowd - The old Chessie Cat has undergone extensive renovations and is now call[ed] BJ's, after the owner, Bruce Jeffrey. The posher establishment has gone from featuring bands to featuring one man on keyboards at the end of a piano-shaped bar. Here, from left, Shelley Thibaudeau and John Harris sit at the bar while organist John Thompson entertains." (38b)
