- "This picture, taken in 1905, shows the St. Thomas fire brigade ready for action. The old fire hall on Southwick Street (in background) is believed to have been built in 1882. It is expected that the 90-year-old structure will be demolished to allow for additional downtown parking when the new station on Wellington Street is ready later this year." (19)
