- File contains correspondence regarding the purchase of land by the Canada Southern Railway to improve drainage along First Street in St. Thomas, Ontario, along the east end of the railway yards. The purchase was prompted by a complaint filed by George Boucher, requesting compensation for damage to his property due to improper drainage and flooding onto his property caused by activity in the railway yards that bordered his property. File contains descriptions of the land purchased by the railway in Yarmouth Township, including parcels of land owned by Deborah Kilpatrick (Concession 8, part of Lot 6), George Boucher (Concession 8, part of Lot 6), Alfred and Maggie Morrell (Concession 8, part of Lot 7) and Mrs. William H. Paddon (Concession 8, part of Lot 7). File also includes: Indenture, dated April 16, 1914, between Deborah Kilpatrick and the Canada Southern Railway. Indenture, dated May 1914, between Alfred and Maggie B. Morrell and the Canada Southern Railway.
