- In 1903, the City and district celebrated the Centennial of the founding of the Talbot Settlement at Port Talbot on May 21st, 1803. The affair was a week long succession of celebrations.
- Constructed in 1903 and opened May 21, 1903 as part of celebrations marking the centenary of the founding of the Talbot Settlement. The Armoury originally served as the headquarters of the 25th Regiment. It is now a Government of Canada building and headquarters of the 31 Combat Engineer Regiment (The Elgins). Second floor serves as a drill hall. Officers' Mess located on the ground floor, front. Sergeants' Mess located on ground floor in area demarcated by the three central windows on the south side of the building.
