- History / Biographical
- The original bridge at this location was built by Senator J.H. Wilson in the mid-1870s so he could sell for development property that he owned on the south side of the ravine. This bridge was replaced with a trestle bridge which was, in turn, replaced in 1948. The 1948 bridge was demolished in October 1985 and was replaced by the Mill Creek Causeway Bridge, although many still refer to the bridge as the Wilson Avenue Bridge.
