- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published May 21, 1970 with caption: "Demonstration On Maintaining Activity - The Elgin-St. Thomas Health Unit held a seminar for nurses of Old Age Homes in the County and city on Wednesday. The purpose of the seminar was to show that old people need help in communication and also to teach a means of restoring activity in old people. The all-day seminar was headed by a group of physiotherapists from the Ontario Department of Health in Toronto. Miss Anne Winter, one of the consultants, right, discusses the uses of the walking bar with nurses from left: Mrs. Doris Summers, Aylmer Nursing Home; Mrs. John McKillop, Bobier Convalescent Home, Dutton; and Mrs. Patrick McGlynn, Willson Nursing Home, St. Thomas, acting as patient."
