- Four black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published July 30, 1976 with captions:
- "How Does It Feel - Elaine Bishop, a Quaker from the Kingston area, tries the inside of a mock jail cell set up at Alma College this week by Canadian Quakers at their annual yearly meeting here. Prison conditions are of major concern to Quakers and many visitors tried out the cell, which is built to the close proportions of a cell at the Don Jail in Toronto." (1a)
- "Quaker From Kenya Speaks At Canadian Meeting - Salome Nolega David, of Kenya, head mistress at the Religious Society of Friends Lagula Girls' High School spoke to the Canadian yearly meeting of the Religious Society of Friends at Alma College Thursday evening. From left: Philip Martin, Ottawa, clerk of this year's annual meeting; Salome David; and LeRoy Jones, Toronto, who introduced the guest speaker." (1b)
- "Visiting Traditional Meeting House - Russell Zavitz, standing centre on porch, a member of the Sparta Quaker meeting house, told international visitors Thursday some local history. The tour was part of the Canadian yearly meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) this week at Alma College. Listening from left, are Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Wood, who is director of Quaker United Nations Office, Geneva; Heinrich von Tucher of West Germany and Mrs. Elizabeth Wilson of England. All are Quakers. The Sparta meeting house, still used by local Quakers in the summer, was build in 1856." (1c)

Some members camped on the college property. From left, Ian Turner of Toronto, Laurelyn Barns of California, Bruce Dienes of Montreal, Mike Turner of California and Steve Bishop of Victoria, B.C.
