- Digitized copy of an original survey plan of part of the Township of Yarmouth, County of Elgin. Registered September 11, 1823, Surveyor General's Office, York, Thomas Ridout, Surveyor General. Legend reads: "Part of Yarmouth Shewing the School Lands colour Green". Scale 1 inch equals 40 chains. Includes annotations for survey lines demarcating the boundary between Yarmouth Township and South Dorchester Township: "North 11 [degrees] 30 [minutes] West when Surveyed - now North 12 [degrees] 35 [minutes] West. 1819" and "North 78 [degrees] 50 [minutes] East by the Magnet - now N. 76 [degrees] 18 [minutes] E. 1819". Includes annotations showing the names of grantees resident on various Township lots on Edgeware Road and in Concessions X-XII. Geographic and cultural features shown in this plan include Talbot Road, Edgeware Road, and Kettle Creek. Several lots are marked as reserved for or granted to Mahlon Burwell, most also bearing the annotation "Sold". Several lots are marked with gray ink, denoting Clergy reserves, red ink, denoting Crown reserves, or green ink, denoting School reserves.
