- Digitized copy of an original survey plan of part of the Township of Yarmouth, County of Elgin. Registered December 10, 1819, Deputy Surveyor's Office, Port Talbot, Mahlon Burwell, Deputy Surveyor. Legend reads: "Map of that part of the School Township of Yarmouth, which is situated North of Talbot Road. Surveyed by order of His Excellency Sir Peregrine Maitland K.C.B. Lieutenant Governor...In Council, bearing date the 26th day of February 1819. The tract Surveyed is comprehended within the Yellow Margin, and contains 22,818 Acres". Scale 1 inch equals 40 chains. Geographic and cultural features shown in this plan include the Village of St. Thomas (named in 1817), Talbot Road, Edgeware Road, Kettle Creek, West Branch of Catfish Creek, East Branch of Catfish Creek, Rapelje's Mills, Wellington Mills and Mill Pond. Several lots are marked as reserved for or granted to Mahlon Burwell, most also bearing the annotation "Sold". Several lots are marked with gray ink, denoting Clergy reserves, or red ink, denoting Crown reserves.
