- Digitized copy of an original survey plan of the Township of Mersea, County of Essex. Registered November 30, 1816, Port Talbot, Mahlon Burwell, Deputy Surveyor. Scale 1 inch equals 40 chains. Plan shows Talbot Road lots 218-244 (north and south), with annotations dated 1815-1820 showing the names of grantees resident on these lots. Geographic and cultural features shown in this plan include Lake Erie, Belle Point, Sturgeon Creek, Willow Island, "Point Pele or South Foreland", Muddy Creek, Two Creeks, and a (first nations?) footpath marked "Wynadot Path". Talbot Road is shown but not named. Various unnamed roads, footpaths,watercourses and marsh lands are also shown. An index to lot numbers occupied/assigned as indicated in this plan have been created and made available in pdf format.
