- Digitized copy of an original survey plan of the Township of Orford, County of Kent, registered September 23, 1825, Deputy Surveyor's Office, Port Talbot, Mahlon Burwell, Deputy Surveyor. Legend reads "Township of Orford, shewing the Middle Road through the same; by Order from the Surveyor General's Office, bearing date at York, the 13th day of August 1824. The tract surveyed on the present occasion contains 21,217 acres." Scale 1 inch equals 40 chains. Annotations dated 1827-1831 show the names of grantees resident on various Middle Road lots. Named geographic and cultural features shown in this plan include Thames River, Talbot Road, Middle Road, Clear Creek, Long Wood Road, Oil Spring, Salt Spring, first nations village sites marked "Moravian Village" and "Old Village Destroyed", footpath marked "Indian path", two mill seat sites on Clear Creek, Various unnamed watercourses and an unamed saw mill are also shown. Various tracts are outlined in gray and red ink, indicating Clergy (gray) and Crown (red) reserves.
