- Printed in the St. Thomas Times-Journal: February 16, 2008. Caption reads: "An unidentified hockey team in the Granite Arena, ca. 1900. The Granite Arena was a large frame natural ice curling and skating rink and was built by the St. Thomas Curling and Skating Company in 1878. The building cost $1700 and was built on the east side of Metcalfe Street, just south of Talbot Street. It faced the Canada Southern tracks".
