- Caption on back of the photograph states: "Harold Smith, 41 Curtis St., St. Thomas, who was 3 years in the Canadian Armoured Corps of the Canadian Army as an instructor and who is now employed by the Timken Roller Bearing Co., as a grinder, explains a machine operation to (left to right) Mr. Scott McKay, Barrister, of St. Thomas, and also President of Ontario Good Roads Association; Mrs. E. Elliott, a visitor; W.F. Thomas, President, Canada Wood Products and Chairman of Board of Alma College, St. Thomas; W.W. Turnbull, Manager of Goulds, Ltd., St. Thomas; Mr. Ernie Elliott, retired P.M.R. Engineer; Rev. Bruce Millar, Principal, Alma College; and Dr. Perry Dobson, retiring Principal of Alma College”.
