- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published ca. 1975 with caption: "Teaching Service is Recognized - George Neal, centre, a former teacher at Scott Street School who spent 10 years with the Elgin County Board of Education was one of six retired teachers honored by members of the Elgin district of the Ontario Public School Men's Teacher Federation at a dinner in St. Thomas Tuesday evening. Mr. Neal returned to the city for the occasion from his home in St. Catharines where he is now Niagara regional district administrator of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Presenting a certificate to Mr. Neal, which makes him an honorary life member in the Elgin District of the OPSMTF are left, Ed Colley, chairman of the life membership committee of the Elgin OPSMTF who made Mr. Neal an honorary member of the former St. Thomas branch of the federation in 1965, and Bill Jenney, president of the Elgin district of the OPSMTF."
