- History / Biographical
- Dr. George Frederick Clark was born near Fredericton, New Brunswick, on November 1, 1837. He graduated from Cleveland Homeopathic College in 1861. For 66 years, he practised medicine in Aylmer. His first office in Aylmer was on Talbot Street West, in the residence later owned by Mr. Frank Trim. For 62 years, however, he had occupied the office on Talbot Street East, where he continued his practice until a few weeks before his death. Dr. Clark was beloved by the whole community. During the hour of his funeral service at the Aylmer Baptist Church, all Aylmer business places were closed. He was buried in the family plot at the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery.
