- Scope and Content
- Black and white photograph showing the Brown House Block, Aylmer, ca. 1925. The office of Alfred E. Haines, Barrister, Solicitor, Notary Public, and Conveyancer is visible, as well as an adjoining, unidentified barber shop. The photograph was likely taken prior to 1926, when Haines was joined in practice by his son, E. Wilfred Haines. The Brown House Block was located on the southeast corner of Talbot and John Streets: the section of the block shown here was on the east side of John Street, just south of Talbot Street. The Brown House Block was largely destroyed by fire in 1934. File includes negative and print.
