- The church was established in 1848, with the present building being built in the late 1880s or early 1890s. Rev. John B. Brown, seated in the front row, fourth from the left, was minister at the church from 1893 until 1896. His salary was $500 per year.
- Lennie Caswell was born on June 23, 1883 in Bayham Township. Her parents were Andrew Jackson Caswell and Mary Huldah Brown. She died on August 27, 1896, at the age of 13.
