- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published January 28, 1977 with caption: "Part of Armed Forces' Winter Exercises - Corporal Phil Pyett, left, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Pyett, 53 St. George Street, St. Thomas, gives Private Gary Oxford of Hamilton, Ontario, a hand to camouflage his truck during training in the Quebec bush just north of the Canadian Forces Base in Petawawa, Ontario. Corporal Pyett is serving with 3 Royal Canadian Regiment part 2 of Combat Group now engaged in large scale winter exercises in the Petawawa area. Approximately 3,000 troops under the command of Brigadier General Dan Loomis are involved in the operations."
