- History / Biographical
- Dr. McFarlane established his medical practice here in 1913. Five years later, in 1918, he sold the home to Dr. William J. Glanfield and his wife, Muriel; Dr. Glanfield died in 1950, and Muriel continued to live in the home until her death, in 1976. The house was inherited by her nephew, Donald Glanfield, who sold the home to Cecil Robinson. Robinson lived in the home for only a short time before requiring care at a long-term care home (now Bobier Villa), and the house sat vacant for several years until his death in 1983, when it was purchased by Henry and Eva Dryfhout.
- Scope and Content
- Two photographs showing the home at the corner of Currie Road and Rose Street in Wallacetown (9553 Currie Road). 25a shows the home in 1914, when it was the residence of Dr. McFarlane; 25b shows the home in 1983, after it was purchased by Henry and Eva Dryfhout.
