- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 5, 1972 with caption: "Robbery Victim - Miss Bonnie Howald, 20, was alone in the Old Tyme Variety Store on Talbot Street, Saturday night, when two robbers entered the store, one of them demanding $20.18. When Miss Howald gave him only a $20 bill, he counted out the remaining 18 cents from the till himself and fled with his accomplice. The variety store is owned by George Bowen of 90 Manitoba Street."
