There are 11 polling stations in Elgin County. Seen here at the Yarmouth Centre Fire Hall, one of the Yarmouth polling stations, are: standing (front to rear) Bob Martin, dairy and hog farmer; John Smit, cash crop and hog farmer; Lloyd Smit, cash crop and hog farmer, all of RR 8, St. Thomas; (seated) Dayton L. Mills, deputy returning officer; Leonard Norman, poll clerk, and Allan Hooker, scrutineer. About 20 of Yarmouth's 900-1000 eligible voters voted in the first two hours. Elgin polling stations are open until 8 p.m.""
