- Photograph showing three different styles of chairs manufactured in the factory on the Minard farm (J. Minard's Factory). The factory was located east of the house in a large building. A large room contained an engine to steam lumber for bending. Another room was used for drying. Eight to ten men were empolyed and fed each day at the family's kitchen table. Rocking chairs, dining room chairs and ktichen chairs were produced. Edward Barrett did the cain and splint bottoms for a number of years. Included in the Sparta Sorosis Women's Institute Tweedsmuir History Book, Volume Two.
