- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published April 7, 1958 with caption:" Although it may be a little hard to reach, Port Bruce has a new beach. The tiny new island of sand is on the east side of the harbor mouth and can be reached only by boat. Left during late fall storms, the new beach is about 100 feet long and 50 feet wide at the west end. This photo of the beach was taken from the Port Bruce pier."
