- Scope and Content
- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published [197-?] with caption:" John Foy, clerk-treasurer of Aylmer for almost 40 years, worked his last day yesterday. The staff in the Town office threw a little party for him in the afternoon, cracking open a bottle of champagne and inviting over a few old friends and colleagues. Among the celebrants was Chuck Knapp, the new clerk-treasurer, who is seen here removing Mr. Foy's name plate from his office door as Mr. Foy looks down - he's six foot, five inches tall. Mr. Foy said he will spend his retirement indulging in various hobbies which include winemaking and wood-work."
