- Three photographs show (60) SS No. 4, Barnum School, (61) SS No 13, Cole's School and (62) SS No 6, Chestnut Grove School.
(61) Barnum School was built in 1875 to replace a log schoolhouse. The building was frame and about 1895 was bricked over. (62) Cole's School was built about 1840 on John Mill's property. (63) was built a white brick school built in 1875. Included in Sparta Sorosis Women's Institute Tweedsmuir History Book, Volume One.
