- " The Amtrak passenger train in the above photos, known as the Niagara Rainbow, makes its last two trips through St. Thomas today. The train passes through the city enroute to Buffalo this morning and to Detroit at night. The service is being cancelled because the states of Michigan and New York have withdrawn subsidies on the operating deficit." (3a)
