- "Inspects Damage - Malcolm Armstrong, head of research during guard rail testing at the old Fingal Airport, inspects damage done to a guard rail yesterday after a car hit a 50 miles an hour. One pole had completely broken at the base". (4a)
- "Whammo - This car, being used by the Department of Highways in a series of guard rail tests at the old Fingal Airport, roared down the runway at the press showing yesterday and the guard rail didn't stop it. Instead the car bounced over, nearly flipped and ran head first into a cornfield". (4b)
