- Six black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published December 3, 1960 with captions:
- "Getting Ready for Big Show - The Sparta Community Society has been busy for the last two months working on the floats for the 14th annual Santa Claus Parade which will take place next Saturday, December 10. The spectacular show will start at 2 p.m. If bad weather interrupts the parade then it will be held the following day, Sunday. In the above photo , citizens Morley Gorvett, left, and Wesley Phillips, right, are placing the lambs on one of the floats, called Little Bo-Peep".
- "Floats Take Shape - Working on the "Old King Cole" float are, Lloyd Bailey, top, and Jack Fluelling. This is just one of the 20 floats that will participate in the parade. Some of the new floats added this year depict the Three Little Pigs, Walt Disney's "Perry," Uncle Remus, Little Bo-Peep, Little Miss Muffett and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs".
- "Rabbit Gets Retouching Job - A rabbit which was used in last year's parade is being retouched for this year's event. Shown here going over the ears with a brush is Harry Smale. Also in the parade will be the Aylmer's Boys' Band, West Lorne Pipe Band, Springfield Boys' Band, Sea Cadet Band, R.C.A.F. Band, Aylmer, St. Thomas Majorettes, Dorchester Majorettes, and Darlene Lee's Majorettes from London".
- "Snow White Characters - Characters of the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs float are being painted at the home of Jack Fluelling. Shown above is Mrs. Fluelling painting one of the characters".
- "Home of Three Little Pigs - Morley Gorvett, left and Jack Arthur, right, are working on a float depicting the Three Little Pigs, while the Angry Wolf, bottom left hand corner, looks on".
- "Finished Floats Kept in Barns - The floats that are ready for the parade are stored in barns on nearby farms until the big day arrives. Shown above is one of the finished floats stored on the farm of Wallace Little, seen on right".
