- Scope and Content
- Seven black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published November 1, 1972 with captions:
- " This unlikely-looking combination of "a lady, a clown, a turtle and a mummy" were actually (from left) Lori age five, and Denise Esson, age three, of 5 Cypress Street; and Jane, age seven, and Scott Houghton, age nine, of 18 Pine Street. They were among scores of youngsters to invade various parts of the city Tuesday evening in an annual Halloween celebration." (7a)
- " Four-year-old Chris Loucks of 88 Park Avenue drew a good deal of attention Tuesday evening as he strolled along city streets in a pink rabbit costume with his parents. Here he gets a treat from Ernie Dunn of 46 Fifth Avenue." (7b)
- " This good fairy... three-year-old Susan Green of 29 Locust Street... finds Halloween just a bit overwhelming as she shyly accepts some candy from Mrs. Amy Salisbury of 6 Chestnut Street." (7c)
- " This brother and sister... Jefrrey, age two, and Beverley, age five, of 86 Moore Street... teamed up as a devil and an angel for their "trick or treating" Tuesday evening. The chill air was the biggest damper on their enthusiasm." (7d)
- " Seven-year-old Lori Chase of 4 Ashton Place, St. Thomas, was one of a few children fortunate enough to keep dry while making her Hallowe'en rounds on Glanworth Drive in St. Thomas Wednesday night. Her father, Wally, accompanied her carrying a large umbrella which kept them both dry. Here Lori receives some treats from Mrs. Sue Waite of 16 Glanworth Drive as Mrs. Waite's 10-month-old son, David, looks on with interest. " (7e)
- " Little Nancy Hewbank, three-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hewbank of 228 Sydenham Street East, Aylmer, was not very happy as her mother showed her the Halloween display in front of Campbell's Egg Grading Station on King Street, Aylmer, Tuesday afternoon." (7f)
- " Ghosts and goblins were out in force in Aylmer Tuesday night as children celebrated Halloween. Pictured are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barnes, of 40 Fath Avenue, Aylmer, pass out treats to Julie Harcourt (left) and Lorelei Ethelston." (7g)
