- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published May 31, 1980 with caption: " Canada Employment Centre Manager Burno Del Bel present a cheque for $3,360 to Peter McFadden, Chamber of Commerce manager to enable the Chamber to hire Karen Lochhead as a summer student. The grant is provided under the 1980 Summer Youth Employment Program. Karen, a second year student at the University of Guelph, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lochhead of 110 Fairview Avenue St. Thomas. She will perform a broad range of informational, promotional, and public relations functions and other related duties complimentary to the Employment Centre's 1980 hire-a-student initiative, ensuring a good level of awareness among Chamber of Commerce members of federal employment incentives."
