- Talbot Street, St. Thomas, south side between Stanley Street and William Street, ca. 1865. Photograph probably taken by Allen Brothers photographers, whose studio was located directly opposite on the north side of Talbot Street. View includes Archibald Stewart, grocer; Stewart's Barber Shop, operated by Bezaleel Stewart; Henry's Bookstore; Alexander Henderson, grocer and saloon keeper (Henderson later served as St. Thomas fire chief until ca. 1920). Note the wooden sidewalks. File includes:
