- Studio portrait of First World War soldier Sergeant Frederick Edwards, MM and Bar, 123538 (originally assigned serial number 189142).
- Born March 14, 1877 in Haldimand County, Ontario.
- Enlisted September 18, 1915 at St. Thomas, Ontario.
- At time of enlistment was residing with wife Alice and their child at West Lorne, Ontario and was employed as a sawyer.
- Listed in June 26, 1916 issue of the St. Thomas Daily Times among members of the 91st Battalion who deployed from St. Thomas on June 25, 1916.
- Listed in Nominal Roll 91st Overseas Battalion: "B" Company.
- Listed in Elgin County Book of Remembrance: The Great War 1914-1918: "Enl. Sept. 1915. Served in Canada 70th and 91st Battalion; England 12th Reserve; France 1st Battalion. Battles: Somme, Vimy Ridge, Passchendaele. Wounded at Fresnoy and Passchendaele. Disch. Sept. 1918".
