Black and white photograph showing Bessie Street at Willow Beach in Port Stanley. The area was originally known as Tannery Pond and belonged to the Ellison estate. Once in the possession of Mr. Manuel Payne, who had it subdivided and named two of the streets after his daughters, Maud and Bessie. A 1910 description indicates the area was located midway between the lake and the village. Included in Port Stanley Women's Institute Tweedsmuir History Book.

Black and white photograph shows the "Clara B", the first electrically welded steel ship built on the north shore of Lake Erie, and possibly the first in Canada. The ship was built by Russel Bronson (also the inventor of the Stanley ice-harvester) and was designed by Herb Colley (who also worked on its construction). (143a) shows Captain James and Myron Taylor, engineer. (143b) shows Captain James on the Elsie Doris. Included in Port Stanley Women's Institute Tweedsmuir History Book.
