View of abandoned Canadian National Railway property in Port Stanley, Ontario. A newspaper clipping published on September 24, 1975 is attached to the reverse of the photograph, which reads: "CNR Lands Unsightly -- This is the scene on the CNR lands on the west side of the Port Stanley harbor where the rail yards have become overgrown with weeds. While the Village of Port Stanley has done much to improve the appearance of the resort town in recent years, there is concern over the lack of improvement in the appearance of the railroad property".

File contains an agreement between the New York Central Railroad (lessor) and Thomas Johnstone / Thomas Johnstone Fuel and Ice Company (lessee) regarding the lease of a parcel of land in St. Thomas, Ontario, located near Wellington Street and First Avenue, beside the St. Thomas Bronze Company. File also contains a plan showing the subject property, dated September 18, 1939. File also contains tax assessments for the property, as well as correspondence regarding the lease and the lessee not paying taxes.

Scope and Content
View of a portion of the southside of the Talbot Street streetscape in St. Thomas, Ontario, photographed from John Street, featuring part of the Acacia block (616-626 Talbot Street), which was built for William Idsardi in 1881. The building pictured at the centre, located at 630 Talbot Street, was purchased by the City of St. Thomas in 1966, and was later demolished to create a walkway from Talbot Street to the parking lot at the rear of the building. View features Sanderson Hardware (624-626 Talbot Street), Art's Shoe Repair (630 Talbot Street), Wallis Plumbing and Heating (632 Talbot Street), and part of Tommy White's Sport Shop (636 Talbot Street).
