Heard, of Lambeth, Elected President for Coming Year; Brigadier Colin A. Campbell, C.B.E., of Toronto, Guest Speaker at Banquet Held in Grand Central." "Elgins Attend Service at Trinity Anglican Church; Lay Wreaths at Cenotaph: Rev. J. R. Thompson, Rector, and Hon. Capt. George Durst, Padre of Elgin Regiment Overseas, Conduct Impressive Ceremony; Memory of Fallen Comrades Honored." 1_2479: "The Elgins of World War II held their first reunion since the war in St. Thomas Saturday and Sunday. Caption from St. Thomas Times-Journal, April 9, 1951, page one: “As in the First Great War, Still Leads Men of the 91st.” 1_1878: “Lieut.-Col. W.J. Green, who raised and took the 91st Battalion overseas in the First Great War, is seen here at the head of the men in the 91st as they filed into Trinity Anglican Church Sunday morning for their annual service, held in conjunction with the reunion here this weekend. Colonel Green, who is also a veteran of the South African War, presided at the annual reunion banquet in the Legion hall Friday evening. Black and white photograph showing an eastbound St. Thomas Street Railway car on Wellington Street, approaching the intersection with Railway Street (now Princess Avenue), ca. 1920. View is looking west on Wellington Street from the London and Port Stanley Railway tracks running north-south between Railway Street (Princess Avenue) and Moore Street. The spire of Trinity Anglican Church on the northeast corner of Southwick and Wellington Streets is visible in the background. The residence visible at 119 Wellington Street on the northwest corner of Wellington and Railway Streets was occupied when this photograph was taken by Charles A. Riddle, roofing contractor. Marlatt & Marlatt coal, wood, cement and pipe dealers is visible at 120 Wellington Street on the southeast corner of Wellington and Railway Streets. Two horse drawn sleighs are visible.
